President George W. Bush:
Unfit to Lead America, Unfit to be President

It's time for President George W. Bush to go. He is unfit to leave. He should resign. Now would be a good time to do it. The voters have spoken.

The public is sick of the Iraq mess. Mr. Bush was the one who presented the "evidence" that Saddam Hussein was stockpiling weapons of mass destruction for possible future use against the West. We attacked Iraq to disarm him and force a change of regime.

We found no MWDs to speak of and we swiftly brought down the government. We had sufficient force to defeat the Iraqi military, but as we have learned since 2003, we were woefully underprepared to defend ourselves against the insurgency. That...and the civil war it spawned.

President Bush did not act to add sufficient force when it became apparent we were unable to crush the guerillas. He and his secretary of defense, the recently resigned Donald Rumsfeld, blew off the advice of the generals who said we needed far more boots on the ground to secure that country.

In the meantime, Iraq has become a meat grinder for everyone, US troops and Iraqis included.

The message from the voters on November 7th, 2006, is clear: Change course. The Democrats who took over control of Congress will be working to end our involvement in Iraq.

End our involvement in this disaster which was caused by the actions of George W. Bush.

President Bush, however, so far shows no inclination to get out. It may be difficult to admit when you're wrong, but this man needs to get over his arrogance and pay attention to the wishes of Americans. We want to get out of that place. It is clear nothing short of tripling the number of soldiers in Iraq will shut down the insurgency, and even that might not be effective.

The public has had enough of this nonsense. There won't be any support for pouring hundreds of thousands of additional troops into Iraq. It's over. Let the Iraqis have their civil war. Let them butcher each other. It's not our business. Let them establish a Shiite theocracy. It may not be what they voted for in Mr. Bush's propped up, very brief "democracy" in Iraq, but it very likely to be their destiny.

Hussein may have been a tyrant, and I'm certainly not defending him, but his was a secular state, very much unlike what Iraq is likely to become at the hands of the current American president.

President George W. Bush is responsible for this fiasco. It's Mr. Bush's bad judgment that has brought us to this point. I think the entire world has seen quite enough of Mr. Bush's "leadership" and understands this man is unfit to lead the United States of America.

Mr. Bush, you are clueless and dangerous. This nation no longer wishes to follow you. You are unfit to be president, unfit to lead this country. Mr. Bush, resign and go back to your ranch.
